What is Pole Dance Academy Online?
Pole Dance Academy Online is a worldwide online training platform for pole dancers, instructors and studio owners. We offer live Zoom classes, an extensive On Demand library, tutorials, specialty programs, instructor education and world-class training from leading instructors.
Who is PDA Online for?
Our platform is perfect for: *Students without access to a local pole studio *Pole dancers wanting extra training outside their studio *Busy people who can't attend regular class times *Pole instructors wanting to upskill *Studio owners investing in themselves and their team *Anyone who loves learning from a variety of world-class instructors
I already go to a pole studio. Why would I need PDA Online?
Great! We hope you never stop supporting your local studio. PDA Online isn't here to replace your studio, it's here to complement it. Think of us as your extra training outside of class. Whether you want to strengthen your invert, improve your flexibility, learn from world-class instructors, or simply train on days you don't have class, PDA Online helps you progress faster while continuing to enjoy your studio community.
I'm worried I'll sign up and never use it.
This is one of the biggest concerns people have with any online membership. That's why we continually add new content, run live classes every week and offer structured programs that give your training direction rather than leaving you wondering what to do next. Most members find that having access whenever they need it actually helps them stay more consistent.
Can I really learn online?
Absolutely. Thousands of students around the world successfully train online every day. Our instructors break skills down step-by-step, explain the mechanics behind movements and provide drills, conditioning and progressions to help you build confidence safely.
I live in the middle of nowhere.
Perfect. Many of our members joined because they don't have access to a local studio or experienced instructors. PDA Online gives you access to world-class coaching no matter where you live.
How are the Live Classes run?
Our live classes are delivered via Zoom by our experienced instructors, allowing you to train from anywhere in the world. Simply book your class through PDA Online, and you'll receive a Zoom link before the class begins. During class, your instructor will guide you through the session just as they would in a studio. If you'd like feedback on your technique, you can leave your camera on, or if you'd prefer to train privately, you're welcome to keep it off. The choice is completely yours.
Do I need a pole at home?
It depends on the class! Many of our classes, such as pole tricks, spins and choreography, require access to a pole. However, we also offer a wide range of classes that don't require one, including strength and conditioning, flexibility, mobility, handstands, active flexibility and other cross-training sessions. If you don't have a pole at home yet, there's still plenty you can train while you build the strength and foundations to support your pole journey.
How do I book into a Live Class?
Booking is easy! Simply log into your PDA Online account, head to the Live Class timetable, choose the class you'd like to attend and click Book. Once you've booked, we'll automatically email you your Zoom link before class. We recommend booking ahead of time so you don't miss out and remember, booking also ensures you'll receive access to the class recording if you can't attend live.
What is the audio quality like?
We've invested in high-quality microphones and audio equipment to make your experience as enjoyable as possible. Our instructors use professional audio systems designed specifically for online teaching, so you'll be able to clearly hear both their voice and the music throughout class. We know how important good sound is for movement and choreography, and we've worked hard to create an experience that feels as close to being in the studio as possible.
How long are class recordings available for?
If you've booked into a Live Class, you'll receive access to the class recording once it has been processed and uploaded. Recordings for Pole Choreography and Floorwork remain available for 14 days, giving you plenty of time to catch up if you missed the class or revisit it as many times as you'd like during that period. For all other classes; Tricks, Conditioning and Stretch, are all uploaded to On Demand so you can revisit whenever you like.
What happens if I can't make a Live Class?
No problem! Life happens, and we understand that sometimes plans change. As long as you've booked into the class before it starts, we'll send you access to the recording once it's available. You'll have 14 days to watch Pole Choreography/Floorwork classes and re-watch Tricks, Conditioning and Stretch at a time that suits you with our On Demand section. It's one of the reasons so many of our members love PDA Online you never have to miss out on your favorite class just because life gets busy. 💜
